~GREETINGS ONE AND ALL ~

Hello to everyone who has entered

my little casa on the web! I invite

you to just prop up your feet and sit

back in a favourite chair and enjoy

yourself as you browse through

my latest pages. I do hope you all

enjoy them as much as I have had

putting them up for your pleasure!

You know I just want to say how good

GOD has been to me and my family.

Both of our daughters have wonderful

husbands who are good to them

and provide lovely homes for them

and their children. I have five beautiful

grandies (and another one on the

way) who I dearly thank GOD for!

I don't get to see the ones in Kentucky

very often, maybe someday I will see

them more. I do love them all so very much!

And for my two daughters, I thank

GOD for every day. My husband is

GOD's gift to me and for that I am

very thankful and blessed! He is

my heart, my partner, my soul-mate,

my friend, my love, my all in all here

on earth and for almost twenty

wonderful years we have shared

our lives together, and by the grace

of GOD we shall be together eternally

with our FATHER in heaven.

We met in Nevada, and moved to

Kentucky, and on to Vermont, and from

there we went to Connecticut and

back to Kentucky. We then moved

to Ohio and now live in Iowa.

It is not my home state and my

heart is forever in Kentucky, the

beautiful state of my birth and where I

grew up, but now I am in Iowa

with my youngest daughter

and her family and with my

precious husband, so I am content

to live in the wonderful house that

GOD has allowed us to buy. It was

so hard staying here and looking and

waiting and hoping, and wishing and

praying and watching things go

on and the days followed one upon

another til I had about given up

hopes of ever seeing a house

that I could say was to be mine.

It seemed to take forever, (over 16 months

to be exact) to sell the house in

Ohio and thank GOD it finally sold

after three times of thinking it was

sold but no financing for the people

and it fell through each time!

But GOD, in HIS own time, not mine,

saw to it that the Ohio house sold

and closed just in time (on Nov. 5th)

and this house that we have found

just came on the market Nov. 17th.

and we signed papers the 20th and

got the loan and will close on it on

Dec. 17th (my hubby's birthday)!

It wasn't even the house I wanted

when we went to see houses!

The house we checked out with our

realtor was on 10th Street and when

we went to see it, it was right in the

"flight path" of the airport and while

we were there, about 8-10 planes

went over while we were inside and

outside the house and it was

terribly noisy! I bet we could have

reached up and tickled the pilot's

feet..LOL! Well not quite, but

they flew down really low overhead!

And so we said "no' to it and we

were kind of "down in the dumps"

about it, so hubby just drove around

a few blocks and we spotted a few

houses with "flyers" of information

in the yards and then we drove by

this house and I got the "flyer" and

looked like I just "knew this was it"

but the price seemed "out of reach"

for us, I thought. So we checked

on it the next day with the realtor

and as I was walking through one

of the rooms, it was like  a voice

spoke in my head and said: "This is yours."

Then I went through the house and like

the seagulls in "Finding Nemo"

(the kids movie) I said:

"Mine, mine, mine, mine."

And to GOD be the glory,

for we were in for the holidays!

I thank all of you for every one

of the prayers said for me and

my family and the house situation

over the past year! It was just what

I have wanted in a house. Three

bedrooms, 2 baths, a huge full basement that is

made into a big bedroom and sitting

room also. At least two arched

doorways, the windows in the

bathroom look like those big ice cubes

(know what I mean?) I have a room just

for the doggies (the TV room to be

exact) so they are also close to the

door to the backyard for

convenience! The backyard

is huge and fenced. The front yard

is very big, too! There is a garage

(or work shop) in the back for hubby, too.

The room upstairs that were two

bedrooms (joined across together)

we made into a huge children's room

for the grandkids to play in with

all kinds of toys! The drawers are also

"built in" to the walls just as

I have told Johnny many years

that I would love to have!

The one bedroom downstairs is

our computer room too! Anyway

this house is something that I think

GOD had in mind for me when

I moved here and it took all of

16 months to sell the Ohio house,

get the people here to fix this one up

some more and for us to find it three

days after it was put on market!

And for the price we got it, the banker

lady said:" I just don't understand

how you got that much house for

that little money." It isn't "cheap"

by any means, but for this lovely

neighbourhood and the condition

of the house and the size of it, the

price was fantastic and who but GOD

could put it together and close it and

we move into it in under a MONTH!?

WOOOO-HOOOO!!

GOD is the greatest!

Nice, huh? I want you all to

know that this isn't "bragging

and being a show off" so

please don't think I am being

that way; this is just praising GOD

for all of HIS goodness in

allowing us to live in this

lovely home, for I have already told

HIM that it is HIS home

and I just live here in it.
