This is the pic of the ad in the Ashland Daily Independent back home
about my first kiddie-book.
August 16, 2008 I was back home and we had a High school reunion/dinner
and a book-signing and it was a blast!

Wonderful kiddie book!

My daughter bought two (one for each child) and my 2 year
old granddaughter listened to it all the way through (she usually hops up in the
middle of a book and wanders off)! I had to read it through twice to her and so
did her Mama and Grampa! Then she ran to her Daddy and said: "Oh Daddy! Gramma
wrote a book, just for me!' That was really a heart-warming thing to hear!
I
believe all kids will love this little bear-cub and all her many friends!

This book is one of the best reads for little children
around! The pictures are adorable and the reading is story is beautifully told. The adventures of this little bear-cub will keep your little ones asking for
more!

This book has a great layout for small children and is written perfectly to
hold their interest. With Katie-Bear's animal friends being introduced into the
story and the day naturally progressing from home to school and back to home, it
held the interest of my two-year old daughter who is notorious for getting up
and leaving in the middle of a book. We finished it the first time (all five
little stories), and she handed it back to me and said, "Again!" If that's not
an endorsement, I don't know what is. The illustrations were a little too simple
for my taste, but my daughter liked them. I thought the story compensated for
the illustrations, and in the end it all came together. Good book for little
ones and not annoying to the parents who have to read it over and over. I
recommend it.

Katie Bear is one of the most adorable books to come out in a long while!
Buy it for all the little ones in your heart and life. Let them enjoy the
fun adventures of Katie-Bear at home and at school! Join Katie-Bear at
Kindergarten with all of her friends and their teacher, Miss Polly-Pig. I'm sure
that she will win the heart of all who read this delightful book and the series
of stories following this darling little bear-cub. Many thanks to all who read

V. K. Sansone
V. K. Sansone was born in Ashland, Kentucky. She was a baby boomer and was
raised in the "flower-power" of the ‘60’s!
Mrs. Sansone truly loves God with all her heart. She is continually sending
out Christian encouragement via email to all her friends. She is known to
always have a cute story and a scripture for those who need either one.
Mrs. Sansone loves children and is a talented writer. Writing children’s
books was the logical step for her, a woman whose imagination is inspiring!

charming story in and of themselves...
WI&DP: Where did the idea for Katie-Bear come
from?
V. K. Sansone:
She was born in my head and heart back
in 1997.
WI&DP: Was there a moral or life lesson in "Fun
Days at School" that little readers will see?
V. K. Sansone:
Just that family is so special and what
GOD gives us we should show appreciation for and not take life and loved
ones for granted.
WI&DP: Knowing that the second book in the
series is sub-titled "Play Day with
Friends"; where we see introductions to even more animal
friends of Katie-Bear's; what can we look forward to seeing in future
books?
V. K. Sansone:
I believe that others want to do more of Katie Bear and I guess we will
see where it all goes. Katie Bear will go far if everyone likes her! :)
WI&DP: Do you plan to write; or have you written,
other children's stories outside of the Katie-Bear series?
V. K. Sansone:
Written others? No not really, I just used to make up stories for the
kids when they were little and even as teens, continuing from one night
to the next with a made-up story and they really enjoyed them!
WI&DP: What other genres do you enjoy writing?
V. K. Sansone:
I have a life Journal
(autobiographical) of mine that I am planning to publish soon.
WI&DP: For all the "as-of-yet-to-be-published"
authors out there; what advice would you give them about story telling &
the publishing experience?
V. K. Sansone:
Make it come from the heart and soul of
your own being.
WI&DP: If given to do it all over again; what
would you change about your experience with either Living Waters
Publishing or WillowRaven Illustration & Design Plus?
V. K. Sansone: I think
I would have had KB published sooner had I known about the people
involved. I appreciate all they have done with my book.
For myself; I am getting started right away on illustrating book two & from
the couple of excerpts I've seen... book three looks even more fun to
visually interpret. God I love my work!
